I am a stag of seven tines, I am a flood across a plain, I am a wind on a deep lake, I am a tear the sun lets fall, I am a hawk above the cliff, I am a thorn beneath the nail, I am a wonder among flowers, I am a wizard. Who but I sets the cool head aflame with smoke? |

You've stumbled into my neatly organized chunk of the Web. This is the Lair of the Dragon Mage. On my less computer-oriented days, I'll also answer to Juniper. For a living, I beat on Linux hardware for other people. Then I keep beating it so that it won't revert to useless shapes. Occasionally, I entertain ideas of beating the other people instead of the hardware, usually when they beat said hardware into new useless shapes, but I don't get paid for that part, so I haven't really done anything about it yet. When I was younger and more idealistic about what I might do for a living, I got my BA in Computer Science from Wellesley College, where at the time it was possible to graduate with a degree in CS that didn't provide any useful programming languages, so I've since learned Perl. In spite of my Geek Girl bent, I'm not a complete techie; I love good fantasy novels and music, and spend a lot of my free time appreciating them and creating them. (But I still got a 64.2% on the Nerdity Test and I do play computer games.) I have a stuffed broccoli. With the economy being the way it is, there are too many things and not enough people to do them. Thus, I haven't had time to update these pages or do anything worth updating these pages for recently, and I took a lot of stuff down because it was so abysmally out of date. I left the poetry alone even though I haven't added anything new, because people apparently like it. About the only other writing I've done recently is the occasional contribution to Eyrie Productions. Sometimes I play with the SCA, usually in the Barony of Carolingia.
If I ever become unemployed again, perhaps I'll
have more time to update these pages.
